What a wonderful painting The Big Moment is! I love looking at it! Have had it now for almost 12 years and have enjoyed the 12 years we have had it hanging in our house. So relaxing and peaceful! The grist mill in this picture is a real grist mill in Vermont somewhere. The people are real in the wagon. The picture was a top seller in 1961. Was on a calender in 1958. This picture is in the movie with Tom Hanks called Apollo 13. Its in a house scene in the movie. Hope you enjoy the picture as much as I have.

Hi: Yes, I too have this picture given to me by my sons in the early 60's. I loaned it to a relative for about 8 years and only recently got it back and I'm so glad I did. I have wondered about its origin and now I have some information. Thank you.
