Painting by C. Frommhold

I cannot locate anything on Frommhold either and I also have a forest picture that is signed by Frommhold and has what I believe to be the name of the painting but it is in german. Have you been able to find anything else?

I have a painting by C. Frommhold that has been in my family since the 50's. On a very small sticker on the back of the painting is the artist's name, the title "Forrest", with the number P1255. Below this information in very small red letters is what appears to be: N. Y. G. S.
My parents were not art collectors and this is the only (possible) original painting I recall in our home growing up. It's a pine forrest scene in what I'm sure is the original gilded wooden frame.
Any other information about the artist or this artwork would be welcome. Thanks.
