About three years ago, I purchased a painting on eBay. It is an actual painting, oil on canvas, and it is signed, but I have not the foggiest notion what the signature says. The painting is of a crowded street on a rainy day, the colors are very vibrant and the people are just smudges...impressionistic, I think? Anyway, in the background is an elaborate archway...is it the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier that I'm thinking of? I bought the painting because I thought it was pretty and it looked vaguely familiar...now I'm curious as to why it looks familiar. Any ideas at all would be gratefully accepted.
