I also have a Nelly Dax that I inherited. My Grandmother wrote on the back.Paid $100.00 French artist, Born in 1928 in Le Havre.Studied art in france and Italy. She now resides in Paris, where she has exhibited her paintings very succesfully.
I would guess she bought it in the early 50's.
