I was born in 1950 in the state of Utah, USA. I've lived all my life in the northwest portion of the country. As a boy I spent many enjoyable hours in the mountains developing a love and respect for nature. I found I had a natural talent for drawing in high school and began my formal art education majoring in art in college. I studied one year at Marin Jr. College in northern California, two years at Boise State College in Boise, Idaho, and corespondent courses with Art Institute of Minnesota. I am also an associate artist of Genesis Creations, Inc. of West Virginia. In 1980 I built a log home and studio in the mountains of north Idaho, 30 miles north of Coeur d' Alene where I now live with my wife and two children. I have traveled extensively throughout the western United States and have paintings in private collections.
I specialize in wildlife, landscapes, and western art in oils and pencil. I also do portraits and have experience in woodcarving.
My catalog of paintings now numbers 58, most of which are sold. I can help you develop your idea from the most basic to a finished piece of art that you and your family can enjoy for years to come. If you have a photo that's speacial to you, I can make a full size oil painting to hang on your wall. A private showing of my art is available on request. Gallart now has ten examples of my work.
